The 2025 China-Africa Automotive Development Forum was held in Kumasi, Ghana's second largest city, to explore cooperation opportunities between China and Africa in the field of electric vehicles. The forum was co-organized by the Confucius Institute of Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and Hubei Automotive Industry College. With the theme of "Intelligent Manufacturing of Lightweight Electric Vehicles", it brought together experts, government officials, investors from China and Africa to discuss the necessity and feasibility of developing the electric vehicle industry in Africa in the future. Seth Mahu, director of the Renewable Energy Department of the Ghanaian Ministry of Energy, said that this forum is an important bridge for China and African countries such as Ghana to share practical experience, development vision and cooperation results. Li Yang, Minister Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Ghana, said at the forum that no matter how the international situation changes, China's commitment to Africa is always firm and its determination to jointly promote industrialization with Ghana remains consistent. Yang Yang, president of Zhongda Technology Ghana Co., Ltd., said at the forum that the company will integrate China's new energy vehicle technology with Africa's localized operation experience, accurately match African market demand, create jobs and provide professional technical training, and promote local social and economic sustainable development.
