The use of a 240 volt outlet or circuit requires the purchase of a home ev charging device and may require modification of the household electrical system. However, the use of a charger powered by a 240 volt circuit has the advantage of a faster charging speed, which is 2 to 8 times faster depending on the current intensity and the vehicle.
