Airbnb is partnering with ChargePoint to offer hosts discounted options for purchasing, installing and managing home 

electric vehicle chargers, which can help attract EV owners as guests. Airbnb hosts can purchase these special EV charging 

packages through a new dedicated online store, which provides charging hardware, installation services and support services.

Landlords can save up to 36% on select ChargePoint hardware models, with prices starting at $399. There are also discounts 

on other power stations purchased through the site, as well as $100 off installation services.

The first 1,000 hosts to purchase a home charger from ChargePoint will also receive a $200 early bird discount from Airbnb. 

Since the average cost to purchase and install a Level 2 home charger is $1,300, this would be a helpful incentive.

Airbnb said more customers are searching for rentals with electric vehicle charging equipment, with searches using the 

company's EV charger filters growing by more than 80% from 2022 to 2023.

It also said that listings with charging stations were booked longer on average and generated higher revenue than listings 

without charging stations. Airbnb is also giving hosts a new listing editor so they can easily add amenities like electric vehicle 

charging stations to their rentals to attract more guests.
